Praise the Lord everyone! This evening we baptized Joe Lane! He is an 18-year old deaf senior that goes to school with Sheila Maynard. We have prayed for a long time that he would come to church. Sheila has invited him several times over the years and finally he came about a couple months ago. He is so hungry for the Lord! We have been having a special Bible study with him and another deaf friend, Chris Mohney over the last few weeks and will continue to do so. Joe decided to get baptized tonight and we are rejoicing with him! Up until this evening, he didn't feel comfortable going to the altar, let alone raising his hands or praying out loud. From the beginning of service, there was such mighty move of the Holy Spirit. Our signing choir did "Holy Ghost Power" and my oh my....... Throughout our Praise and Worship, Joe was jumping and praising out loud! At altar call, he stepped forward, raised his hands and prayed. Thank you Jesus! He was baptized shortly after that. He told us later that when he came out of the water, he saw a bright light! You should have seen the smile that lit up his face and stayed with him for the rest of the night! Keep him in prayer that God will fill him with the Holy Spirit and use him in His kingdom. Chris has also said he would like to be baptized but hasn't yet so please keep him in your prayers as well. We are having Deaf Revival in Portage, Michigan! YAY! Hallelujah!

Hi all and Praise the Lord! Thank you everyone who kept Chris in prayer after my last praise report! Chris was baptized in that precious name of Jesus yesterday morning! That is two young deaf men added to our fold within one week! Hallelujah! Chris brought a deaf friend from school with him, Jack...so now, please keep HIM in prayer. It was his first ever Pentecostal service and I know he was touched. I always get so tickled when our deaf visitors, especially first-time ones, sign along with the interpreter during praise & worship. Jack is very interested in coming on a regular basis but the problem is, he lives so far away! So pray that the Lord will open up doors to get Jack to church. He needs the Lord. Chris also brought his parents and his grandparents to witness his baptism. Please continue to keep Chris and his family in prayer. An update on Joe, the one that was just baptized a week ago, he is a different person. The love of God is all over him and he is on fire! He has a younger deaf cousin that he is now trying to get to church. He talked to his aunt about getting his cousin to church and she seems open to the idea, so we'll see. This little guy's name is Dylan. He has a serious medical issue. Now, I know that the Lord can provide a miracle and heal this precious little boy (he's 8 and has the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen). Even if Dylan never comes, please keep him in prayer. God is doing wonderful things here in Portage, Michigan! God bless you all! I will try and get a picture up on deafevangelism.com soon!
